Hello guys...

This is my official blog for my writing class.I was assigned by my lecturer, Dr. Krish to create my own blog.My first issue to be discussed is regarding plagiarism.

Plagiarism is defined as the stealing of other people`s written work (Krishnakumari K., Nor Azni Abdullah & Ahmad Mazli Muhammad, 2010). In our previous class, Dr. Krish discussed in details on plagiarism. My classmates also shared their knowledge on plagiarism. Basically, plagiarism is stealing someone`s idea, thinking, writing or etc without quoting. This action is totally illegal. Surprisingly, without our concern we have been plagiarize since elementary school. Yes.......do you still remember during standard 4 for example, the teacher assigned us with a scrap book. We are asked to complete the scrap book with photos and caption..sometimes labeling. This were all information getting from internet. Search, copy and paste! And obviously, we do not learned how to quote the information that we obtained. However, during that time we are not aware of that illegal action. But things are different know, I have learned about the do`s and don`t  on how to do and complete my research. We must avoid plagiarism!!!! Therefore, we must learn and follow the steps to complete our academic writing. So, in this ELC 550 class this semester we will learn to write an academic writing with sources. Can`t wait our next meeting on Wednesday every week throughout this semester. Let`s enjoy learning academic writing
